Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am new to the site. I literally just dyed my hair, maybe an hour ago. I used the same color I always use and absolutely love. The color is Revlon High Dimension Sizzling Sherry #47 (dark red brown). This time however, for some unknown reason, the old growth turned almost a reddish black color. I need to know if there is anyway I can get old growth to be more uniform to the roots. I am in the military and they have very strict rules on funky hair colors. I need something that is quick because I Have to Go To Work Tomorrow.

I have dye my hair red dark, hot red,in numerous occasion but in the front it always stays to dark almost a dark brown and I honestly don't like it. I will like some advice in how to dye my hair that won't turn to dark and also that it won't fade on the rest of the hair.. Please help I love being red ;)
