I had a collection agency call me and say that they have a judgement against me and have had three wage garnishments issued from 1999. I have no knowledge of a judgement or garnishments. I did an extensive credit check 2 years ago and purchased a new vehicle 1 year ago, none of this came up? How can I find out if there is a judgement?

Tell them that you dispute the debt and that you require them to provide you a copy of the judgment. Also never talk to these blood suckers on the phone, tell them to always put it in writing.
A few things, first do you have debts you did not pay ? The judgement would have to be done in court, so check your court records.

First it could be someone with a similar name
It could be a fraud and they are just trying to cheat you out of money
Or it could be a valid debt, but the main things don't say anything to them on the phone
