    How to make kids focus
    Hi,
I am Hema.I have 6 years old son in 1st grade.I repeatedly get complaint from his teacher that he is not able to focus at school.I consulted a Neuro Pediatrician, who said that my son has no problems but in a school environment he is not able to focus.
Please advice me on how to make him focus at school.

    Bye,
    Hema

Boys often develop this ability later than girls, sometimes not until they are 8 years old. You may just have to be patient with him until then, and try to teach him how important it is to be able to focus on his work.

If this is his first year of full-time school, it may take him a while to get used to it. It can be hard for kids to adjust when they are used to only a few hours of school or preschool. Make sure he is drinking plenty of water, and have him avoid sodas and drinks with lots of sugar in them. Make sure he has a good balanced diet with all the vitamins he needs.

That's good you took him to the doctor, glad to hear that they found nothing wrong. It will probably just take a little while. Keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't get better in a year or two, I would take him to another doctor for more testing. Also make sure to keep him on a regular bedtime and good schedule on his days off from school. Having a structured day on the weekends can help kids adjust to the school environment. That way he continues to understand that there is a time for playing and a time for work/learning.

Good luck! Hope this helps! :)
