It may seem like a lot is running and it could be it is but you should also notice one listed "System Idle Process" which is normally towards the top of the list when it is set to arrange by CPU high to low.
This means you really don't have much going on.
now you can type in the "image name" of each of these processes and find out what they do though Google but you'll find that most of them should be working all the time in order to have your computer run properly.
If your PC is running a little slow try a Disk Defragment:
Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter
analyze first and then even if it says you don't need it, run it anyways. This will take anywhere from a few minutes up to 3 hours so I normally run this at night.
Spam and spyware will also slow a computer so do a sweep for those but keep in mind, these programs will slow your computer down quite a bit even though they help keep you safe. I use Nod32 and Spybot which both seem to work great and keep my PC running fast.
If that doesn't fix the slow computer you should look into an upgrade both in storage and RAM. Newegg.com has a good stock of everything and should get you a good price.
