I took a home pregnancy test and it was positive but then I took another one, the same brand, and it was negative. What does this mean?

My advice,
Get another home pregnecy test of a different brand, or visit your family docter for testing.
Two tests - 50/50.. no real chance in knowing.

How long has been since you had your period? Make sure you waited long enough by the package directions. Take another test in two weeks if positive make dr. appt. If you can't wait make a dr. appt now. Whatever you do make sure you get prenatal care as soon as possible. I am a maternity nurse and I know it is crucial for the well being of your child.

Take another test using first morning urine. Positive usually means you are pregnant unless there is something wrong with the test itself.
