Taxes L1 visa is responsible for
Is L1 Visa status considered resident or non resident ? What forms would an L1 need to file?
My understanding is that as L1 they are responsible for federal and state taxes and fica and medicare taxes. Are fica and medicare refundable to L1 upon their departure from the US?

I would appreciate all info on L1 Visa tax obligations and guidance to resources where such information can be found.

You will file as nonresident, dual status alien or resident depends upon when you entered the U.S. and are you married or not.

Your income is subject to FICA taxes as well as federal and state income taxes. FICA taxes will not be refunded.
