    Pilot light failure
The pilot light on my furnace (propane fired AO Smith boiler) occasionally goes out (perhaps once or twice per month). I have replaced the thermocouple but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated. Denny.

Could be a draft, I have had this problem before and removed pilot or blow compressed air through the line to clear. Then you can use a metallic foil tape to seal any would be culprits of draft blowing the flame out, it doesn't take much.

Thanks, you may be right. I've noticed that the pilot flame most of the time acts like it is getting a strong breeze but it's not clear how to block it. At one time there was a fine mesh screen around the pilot but that has decomposed. I haven't found where to purchase a replacement.

Make sure the pilot orifice is clear of all debris.
