1. What is the statute of limitations in Ontario Canada ( they date after, they no longer have the legality to collect)
2. I have never formally ( written correspondence) confirmed i owe the money, however during one of their many phone calls i may have hinted i owe this money? Does this increase or re-start the statute of limitations in Ontario?

You hinted you owed the money?

Anyway - don't know about Canada but it appears that the last activity on this card was in 2006 so they are probably well within the Statute. When you opened the card means nothing - it's the last activity date that starts the Statute.

I would suspect now that you are in their sights you should be prepared to pay or defend (although I don't know what your defense could be).
