Where do I find and clean the lint filter? If it is an automatic cleaning filter, and it is not doing it's job, how can I clean it out?

There is a filter and it is located under the inner basket (the one you put your clothing into). The inner tub must be removed in order to check this item.

My Kenmore came with this house and this is my first machine. I have no knowledge of how to do this. Is there a link, guide or perhaps a manual that I can be referred to in order to do this. My clothes are full of lint. Thanks so much
