    Tranny leak
Anybody ever done any work on a GM th350 its leaking and am not sure what part is called believe it's a servo cover its on the passenger side about midway up the tranny just above the oil pan for the tranny. Is there a seal under this cover that's easily replaced. I do most of my own mechanic work but not so much with transmissions any help would be appreciated.

A little high temp RTV sealant should work, if you give me more info like make, model, year, and engine type I can give you professional detailed info

See if this helps, most covers can be removed….sealed with RTV and reinstalled.

Tranny gasket maybe? Should only cost about $50.00

Well if it's the servo, then an o-ring (number 14) is the seal. Pry out the retaining ring, remove cover and replace o-ring, or coat old ring with RTV and re-assemble. Don't destroy the retaining ring though.

Thanks for the response I might take it to the shop in the morning as I've had a hard time finding the o-ring. If they want too much Ill try to tackle it myself if I can find the o-ring. Either way Ill get back and let you know how it goes.

Thanks guys it was cold this morning(19 degrees) so I got lazy and took it to the tranny shop the local guy got my parts and had me ready to go in an hour and a half for 40 bucks worth it to me not to freeze my tail off. Thanks again to cgregory for that exploded view I will definitely hang onto it for future reference.
    Thanks AC
