Our heating and air unit will not turn off except we cut the breaker box off it is on air and it want go off, we can turn the switch to heat and off but the air keeps running are there any answers?

what do we need to do?

Bad thermostat
Shorted low vlotage wire
I would start with the above cures then move on to more serious problems.
