    If they are picked up and waiting to have a hearing, 2 to 3 months is not uncommin in Georgia

    With all due respect to FDE, being a threat or not being a threat has nothing to do with the time, it takes from the arrest for violation of probatoin and the time they go to their revocation hearing.

    The threat is only related to a sentence they may get for additional time in jail or prision after the detention hearing.

    I'm not sure about Georgia but in most detention centers you can serve up to a year it all depends on what type of crime is committed and how long you are waiting for a court date.

    Revocation hearing form

    (1) seriousness of the offense;

    (2) overall adjustment

    (3) demonstrated lack of amenability to treatment.

    (4) Threat to public.

    (5) placement provider.

    Thank you all for your information... This may sound a little odd but a person in the court room stated she thought she heard the judge say " 2 years suspended sentence... 90 days in the probation detention center... 60 days suspended 30 days to serve. I don't know a lot about law... as you may have guessed:)
    Just wanted to ask for understanding. This is a person that has never been in trouble and the crime was not a serious crime.
    Thanks again to all of you!

    I thought you were discussing the time from being picked up to the time they went to see the judge, if they see the judge, several things can happen, being sent to county jail, being sent to prison, or for time in the detention cetner.

    If that is what the jugde says, then he will be in there 30 days
