Shower - no hot water, no pressure, no water to showerhead
About 1 month ago the shower starting having problems. The water is only tepid and will not get hot (the water in the sink in the same bathroom is hot as well as the rest of the house). Combined with the temperature, there is no water pressure in the shower. At first you could take a shower then the water began to come out only halfway in the shower head and continue to run in the faucet. Someone told my husband it may be a washer and he attempted to fix this about a week ago. He was not able to remove the handle and made the problem worse. Now, no water reaches the shower head and it's barely more than a trickle coming out of the faucet (the water in the sink in the same bathroom continues to be hot and has pressure as well as the rest of the house). The cold water in the shower has pressure (as well as the sink and the rest of the house). The hot, cold and center knobs in the shower all leak. I removed the shower head and no water comes out of the pipe. Any suggestions?

What brand is this faucet? I am guessing it is a 3 handle.

Hi - Yes, it's a 3 handle. Some generic brand I'm guessing because I don't see a name. However, my husband finally bought a tub and shower remodeling kit which looks the same as the old one. It's a Danco perfect match. A friend of his came over and installed it yesterday and we have water pressure but it's not really working right and we still have the no hot water issue. The friend is supposed to come back to finish the job but I have no idea if he will or not. Thanks for your time.

Likely you have rubber from the old washer blocking the port
