I am on H1 visa in 2007 and My wife joined me in May 2007 on H4 visa.
Now I need to file my 2007 tax return and until now every year I used turbo tax and filed the tax returns.
Now I heard that I need to get Tax identfication number for my wife before I can file?

Can any body tell me the procedure on how to file my tax returns this year or do I need to go H&R block?

You will file as resident as Married Filing Jointly. For your spouse you will file W7 (ITIN) and attach with your tax return. For 2007, you must both disclose your worldwide income.

You will file jointly with your spouse. Your wife will file as a non-resident alien spouse of a resident alien. She must sign a statement that she CHOOSES to be treated as a resident alien for all of 2007.

She must also report any income earned while in her home country.
