It doesn't look any different, but it itches.
I have been suffering from an itch that is around my hole. At first I thought that it was just because I tried shaving there and it was just a rash from that, but it hasn't really gone away. I have tried putting lotion and itch cream around it to see if it helps, but it doesn't seem to be working. I was recently tested and nothing came back, but I wish I knew something about this. It doesn't look any different than normal either. I really don't know what to do. A little guidance?

Are you a man or a woman?

    The hole? Vagina or anus?

    Sexually active?

I'm sorry to answer questions with answers, but there are a few things that need to be answered before I can go on.

It is possible you could have hemorrhoids.

Have you been tested for for an intestinal parasite? The rectum is an exit point for the parasite and itching is a classic symptom. Ask your doctor to test/treat you for parasite(s).
    Good luck

Good thought Sherriberry, I forgot all about pinworms. This is a possibility.

Is the itching worse at night?

I don't notice it being worse at night necessarily. And it tends to come and go. I did think that maybe it was caused by the splashing effect toilets can have. I'd say over 95% of the toilets I use are "public". I am in the military. What are pinworms?
