Magazines are pretty picky about articles they will accept. Do you have some unusual topics in mind?

Some teen magazines have a special section that highlights short articles, stories, and poems from readers. For instance, each issue of CosmoGirl includes embarrassing moments sent in by readers. All teen magazines have a Letters section. Send in a letter (your reaction to an article) and see if they print it. You will have to use capitals and good punctuation, spelling, and grammar in order for them to seriously consider printing anything you write.

Go to your local library and check out a bunch of kids' and teens' magazines. Read through them to get familiar with their features and articles. Look for departments for reader feedback or submissions.
