    As long as she is born before midnight on New Years Eve she can be claimed on your taxes.

    She becomes your dependent in the year that she was born (U.S.). You will need to get a SS number for her for tax purposes.

    Agreed. If she was born at 11:59:59 PM on 31 December 2007, she can be claimed as a dependent on your 2007 tax return.
