    Preganacy after miscarriage?

Hi all , well I had a miscarriage in oct 07 as many know, although I have tried using ovulation kits nothing seems to be getting me pregnant again, when I lost my baby my doctor only spoke to me over the phone and said I never needed to see him, do you think I need to be checked out or is it likely to take forever to get pregnant again, I'm getting old this year (30) and I already have a child who is nearly six so time not on my side. Please help

I am very sorry for your loss. As you know, it can take up to a year of actively trying to become pregnant, and you have only been trying for 3 months since the miscarriage.

OPKs are only predictors and are not fool proof. Not every woman ovulates when the predictors tell her she does.

You still have time, I was 38 when I had my last. LOL

Maybe you are trying too hard. The stress of trying can actually prevent us from getting pregnant.

Haven't you hear about the sterile couple who decided to finally adopt and two years later they were pregnant? Or doctors telling patients to "take a vacation" and they end up getting pregnant on vacation?

These are real stories and it happens because the couple finally stops trying so hard, so the stress is reduced and viola they become pregnant.

Always remember to test first thing after getting out of bed in the morning. The tests are much more accurate when used that way.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I also had a m/c in sep. 07, it was my 1st pregnancy. I did go for a check up 10 days later to make sure everything was okay. They told me to wait until I had 3 regular periods to try again. I kept taking prenatal vitamins to get my body ready, after the 3rd period.. boom! Pregnant again. So I would say do all the things pregnant woman should. Take the vitamins, eat right, don't drink or smoke & just keep trying! Every one is different. Best of luck
