I would like to know how to get started in finding lists of real estate (land and or houses ) that are being sold at auctions and also the ones that did not sell at the auctions... how to obtain these lists and the price to be paid for these lists... on the internet and locally... Thank You!

You can call your county tax accessor and they will provide you with this information or you can go online to your county website or county land records office.

I would suggest that you educate yourself thoruougly in this area. Some states are tax lien certificate states. Some are tax deed states. Others, such as Texas is a combination of both. Some states require you to have a bidder's certificate to bid and you must not be delinquent in your own taxes.

Tax liens certificates are government sponsored instruments of debt that are levied on property owners for failure of taxes.

The downside is that your money is tied up during the redemption period. In some states it is two years and other's it may be six months.

I would suggest that you go to your local library and find more information before investing your time and money.
