    Wiring changes: Johnson Controls G600AX-1 With Honeywell S8610U Gas Ignition Control
    This is my very first post so... Hello everyone.

    and here is my question:
    I am replacing a Johnson Controls Pilot Gas Ignition control unit with a Honeywell 8610U and I am a little confused on how to connect all the wires. The wiring on the Johnson Controls unit is as follows:

    Main Valve =====> 1
    Other Control ====> 2
    Pilot Valve ======> 3
    Flame Sensor ====> 4
    Red Wire from Transformer ===> 6
    White Wire from Transformer ===> Ground.

    Greatly appreciated any advice on how all the wires would go to the Honeywell 8610U unit.
    Thanks.

    Attached is the picture of the 2 UNIT.

    I would need a wiring schematic from the equipment. That control is older an rare.

    old... new
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1=PV... PV
    2=TH/W... TH/W
    3=MV... MV
    4=Flame sensor... Looks as if new control uses spark probe for flsme sensor
    5=unused...
    6=24V... 24V
    GR=Ground... connect wire from transformer to 24V grnd

    further more, connect the wires on schematic that go to PV and MV together on MV/PV of new control. Looks like you have no damper on you equipment so put the jumper plug that came with new control on the 6 pin damper plug. I think that should do it. Good luck and be safe. It is very important that the MV PV wires are in correct locations of new control.

    How did this work out?

    I have a similar situation. My main valve never turned on. I think my Flame Sense lead (4) needs to go to Sense (8) on the new control. Also my fan came on with no delay, and never shuts off? What say you lads?

    Wiring help needed in converting an obsolete Johnson pilot control G775/RHA, you know, that little blue rectangle box with the spark wire plugged into its front. Can't seem to get descent conversion directions.
    Sorry, thought this was the question section, but maybe someone will see this.
