How can I ask my roommate to give 30 days notice on a month to month lease ?
I am3 months into a month to month agreement with my current roommate. We were in a 6 month lease together that has expired over 3 months ago. I am currently wanting to dissolve the relationship and go into a 12 month lease with our landlord on my own. I know she is not ready to vacate, but can I give her 30 days notice to get out and go into a lease dated at her expiration? My landlord said they want to move forward ASAP but she has to give notice. Doesn't month to month mean I or the land lord can give her 30 days notice?

Just like you did, here, first you should have done a written agreement to have a room mate, So if this is a month to month rental, you can merely remind them that a 30 day notice would be requried to move.
