    Not feeling my baby move
I am 18 weeks and 5 days pregnant. For the past couple of weeks I have felt my baby move and over the last few days it has been pretty often. As of now I have not felt my baby move in about 24 hours. I am starting to freak out and I don't go back to the dr until next Friday. Am I just being paranoid or is this something I should worry about??

Right now you should relax. You are freaking out about nothing right now. Your baby is fine and is just going through a regular sleep wake cycle. Wait until your "kid" kicks you out of bed when you're 9 months gone!

Try laying down, and drinking a sugary, cold drink(orange juice for example) lay on your side and just relax for half an hour-hour. This will usually get baby moving. But if not, there is probably still no reason for worry, at 18 weeks its not uncommon to miss baby movements now and then, as baby is still so small. In fact, many people don't even feel movement before the 18th-20th week. However, it would be a good idea to contact your doctor/nurse, just to ask their opinions on how often you should feel movements etc. anytime you have concerns, always consult your doctor, even if its just over th ephone.

Thanks for your responses. I figured I was just freaking out (my husband thought so too!) but I just wanted to check.

It happened to me all the time. Three days on three days off, it was freaking me out! Don't worry but do tell your doctor.
