Tickets not paid off is there still marriage by court?
If your boyfriend has tickets but hasn't paid them off can you still get married in court?

I really don't think that one has anything to do with the other, but I suppose the thing to do would be to call your local courthouse and ask someone there.

It may depend on what kind of tickets your boyfriend has. Is this why he will not get married?

Regardless of your boyfriend's answer, I have this wonderful car I want to sell you. Trust me when I say, there was a small spot of water damage, that I was able to find but I dried that up with a paper towel.

Think about what this fellow is feeding you. He can't go to the courthouse to marry you because he has unpaid tickets.

Try it this way, he can't go to the courthouse to make and application for a marriage license and marry you because he is avoiding one or more felony warrants.

Call the court and see if they can tell you if there are open warrants against your boyfriend.

The office where you get your marriage license is normaly not the same court that does traffic ticket and not the court that does felony.

What they do here in Atlanta, is have a judge available twice a day to do any weddings that need to be done, you sort of stand in line and they do a fast 4 minute service.

So go get the marriage license and have a pastor marrry you, there are dozens of pastors in most towns that will marry anyone that calls them, often in the pastors home, or your home

    Fr. Chuck,

The offices are different, the buildings are different, however the electronic strings are the same.

I know, I've worked on printer sub routines from many such small towns as Atlanta. :)

It's almost like looking for someone by not making an overt effort. Tag an identifying number and when there is some activity on that number, print out a report, then go get that person or just wait for them to show up.

And yes it is on-line within most local jurisdictions. And no, it's not used for petty problems.

At least here probate does not have nor do they run a NCIC ( GCIC in georgia) and they most certainly do not run any traffic. The license is issues but not recorded till it is returned. But then I am sure they are double checked in some areas.

    Fr. Chuck ET AL.

I ask your indolences for a little while, I 'm suffering through a rather nasty about of pneumonia. I've been given Steroid shots, last Monday and again this morning. Also, I going to be placed on home oxygen (2% Bottle) and now have to take full strength steroid meds.

Steroids make me rather intemperate and prone to fits of really strange anger! Just kind of pops out over the stupidest reasons or for no reason at all.

Right now I'm stuck flat backed in bed with this laptop all that is keeping me from going nuts, completey.

If for some reason you folks, friends, see that I've written trash or that I've ridden off the deep end and I'm thrashing and riling about nothing. Please call me on it. I do not want to abuse the privileges of these forums just because I'm using an altered perspective.
