    Kitchen Sink Blockage
I was cleaning off some dishes last night and noticed that the water was not going down the drains. We have double sinks; one with a disposal. I tried to run the disposal and it just caused the water to fill up in the other sink. I have tried two bottles of the drain-o and it still is blocked as of this morning. I don't think a snake will be able to fit in the small openings of the drains so just wanted to see what other suggestions you might have.

    Thank you!!

You don't snake a sink from the drain. You go in from the trap. Your blockage is in the horizontal kine in the wall. Since you have poured caustic down the drain you should ware rubber gloves and protective goggles when you open up the trap to protect your eyes and hands. This is a simple task and doesn't involve great plumbing skills. Remove the "J" bend from the trap and send a snake up into the wall. You will hit a elbo about 8 inches in but crank and work your way around that and you'll only have 6 more feet of snake to put out. Button the trap back up and flush with a tub of hot water. Drain better now? Good luck, Tom
