My 3-in-1 machine displays an alarm that the ink cartridges are empty. The 3 color cartdridges are either empty, or low. But the Black cartridge is still half full. I cannot print even in black and white. I adjusted the printer settings to print only in b&w, but I cannot get the printer to reset of ignore the alarm. I don't posses the user manual for my machine either. PLEASE HELP!!

Here's clue #1 - get new cartridges installed. Then do the clean and adjust.

Simply switching the operation from color to black will not remove an error message. You will have to allow black to be either process made or filled from it's own cartridge.

Black & white refers to text coloring. Gray scaling is relating to the shades of Gray between black and white.
