    Diesel on asphalt
My tractor leaked fuel on fairly new asphalt and now I have a patch about 3' x 2' that is soft and contaminated. I have tried a couple of commercial products that is suppose to absorb the fuel. Even after 3 tries with these absorbents there is still fuel coming up when you hose it down. What can I do to restore it.

Mother nature and time since the absorbent can't pull any more fiel up. The fuel will slowly evaporate and if you stay off the soft spot it will eventually get harder again, weeks. Throw some sand on the spot and sweep off it shows the sand is soaked but avoid further abrasion to the black top. Once its hard again coat with coal tar emulsion.
