I had a temp put in a week ago and had some pain with it and the feeling of biting down on tinfoil. That's the best I can explain it. Talked with the dentist this week when he was putting the Permanent crown in and he said that was the cause of the Temp. and the permanent crown should fix that. With the permanent crown I now have constant pain in and around where my crown was put in. When he pulled the old temp crown out they asked if I needed Novocaine I said no not really just get it out and we can get the new one in. They used Novocaine it felt as though he hit a nerve while applying the Novocaine.
My question is could the Novocaine procedure have hit a nerve? I have used Advil and the pain goes away but I don't want to take Novocaine all day everyday.
I never had pain with the tooth prior to the procedure other than it being ground down and a chip but no pain. Now I have constant pain. I feel I got the raw end. Now I may have to pay for more services to resolve something that shouldn't have been screwed up in the beginning. I only had it down per his advice his professional advice.
