I was at the ER on Sunday night because I had light spotting. It wasn't enough to get on my underwear but it was still there. When all the tests were done they said that the baby looked six weeks but there was no featl heart rate. I later found out that there isn't always a heart rate at 6 weeks. However my last period was on November 4th and I took a home pregnancy test on December 8th that showed I was pregnant. Does it make sense that I am now only six weeks pregnant?:confused:

Have you been to your ob? She or he can tell you if you are still pregnant. What tests did you have done at the ER?

They did an interior and exterior ultrasound and took blood. All they could say is the baby is the size of six weeks old and no fetal heart rate was found. I talked to the nurse at my OB's office and they want me to wait until Friday to come in unless the bleeding gets heavy like a period.

Are you having cramping?

I have no pain at all and also when they did the exam they said everything was still closed. I just have the normal nausea that I have had for the past month.

My guess is you are OK. But I really don't know. Ultrasounds can be off, but I'm not sure by how much. I had light bleeding at just a few months pregnant and my baby came out fine.

Yah I had the same problem... now I'm 15 weeks in 2 days... thats sort of weird bcus my last periodwas oct for a month before u!! So I don't understand how you could be only 6 weeks when I'm 15 weeks in 2 days and pretty much I was only pregnant a month before u!! Maybe they did mix up the times... but some people don't always conceive around the time they ovulate it can sometimes happen any time of the month!!

Thank you so much it helps calm my nervse some what. I hope everything is fine because this is my first pregnancy and I am really nervous about it.
