I don't mean to sound rude, but would it help you to pop down to your local library and ask about whether they do computer lessons? They'd really help you find your way around a PC, a lot faster than people can help you over the internet.

I need to know just how basic do you need us to go. So, do have any PC background at all? If not, you can save a ton of time for yourself simply by obtaining a "PCs for Dummies" book from just about any bookstore.

The reason it is real important to you is because the language of a PC conversation is just as important as the what and where type questions.

For example, there are two boot methods for a PC. A "Cold boot" or a "Warm or Hot Boot"

A "Cold Boot", refers to the starting of the PC by using the On/Off switch.

A "Hot or Warm", refer to "Restarting" the PC by using the <Ctl> <Alt> <Del> buttons and selecting Restart or using the Start panel >> Turn Off >> Restart.

Alternately, you could try letting us know what you are doing so we can better help you. I just find it difficult to believe that you do not know ha=ow to use and ON/OFF switch!
