    duel ownership liens
I was given some bad advise I was told that once my home was paid for all lien except federal would be canceled. Well I found out the hard way, went to get a line of credit up popped two liens from 20 yrs ago. The amount after twenty years is substantial to say the least. I have tried to settle for a lesser amount , made an offer. I have called at least ten times with no response. It appears they know they have me by the, excuse the next word GONADS. I take responsibility for what happened, I lost a business to a tornado and became ill. What I would like to know is if the debt collector forecloses do they have to give me fair market value for my home. I live in Georgia. My wife is on the deed as owner.
