Simple?connections for DVD, satellite & TV
Am very outdone with all. We have satellite cable outside to "satellite in" on back of box.

On back of directv satellite box there are these options L to R (next to satellite in) :
    1. out to TV 2. off air in 3. channel 3/4 button. 4. s-video out.
    5. next are two sets of coaxials; top set is indicated by 1 & yellow, white, red; underneath 2 yellow, white, red. Underneath these two are sets are words, Video out (under yellow ) & audio out, under white & red. Do not want to leave out (Left--white Right--red).

JVC dvd player. Only. Model #xv-n340b on back is
    1. "digital out " coaxial pcm/stream with yellow jack.
    2. "Video out" shaded box includes: s-video; then on top, blue, green (don't think they apply. Then next to s-video is yellow. Then red.
    3. this is "Audio out" w/ white--left on top & red -- right underneath.

Old RCA TV. On back is
    1.s video. 2. OUT red/white 3. Video (yellow) Red White IN. 4. ant/cable IN
We have coaxial cables, s-video cables (if needed). Old satellite cables, please help before I wrap a cable around my husband's neck (jusk kidding) before we moved furniture we could hit TV input button on RCA/directv remote & watch dvd movie w/o problem. Would like to do this again please help from step one. Thank you

The way I did it on an older system was a switch that sends DVD in one

Position and satellite in other position -- no signal loss this way

Connect a DVD Recorder to a TV. Connecting a DVD Recorder to a TV.
