Ford F250 superduty not running right
I have a 2004 Ford F250 superduty with a 6.0 Powerstroke. I just changed the fuel filters and am having a problem with it running. At idle it runs fine but when I get on it to pull out it misses and puffs white smoke as if there is water in the tank. The water and fuel light is not on but as soon as the black smoke appears it runs good just lacks power. Any ideas.

I had the same problem , two weeks later just after taking it in for service,
It was mis firing injetors that I was dealing with, while driving down hyway started losing power, took it to ford and they said 4 injectors were bad, so I called BULL **** 4 injectors don't fail at the same time, I had them replace them because of the misfiring and no inprovement in power 35 mph max ,I went to the dealer and said its time to stop buying and guessing parts to fix it and truly check out what's wrong ,2 hours latter truck was fixed and running fine ,PROBLEM WAS CATLATIC CONVERTER IN THE EXHUST WAS CLOGED.removed it and was great, for 1500 miles truck is down again now for a oil cooler leak

fireman5492 thank you so much this is exactly what mine has done. I have replaced the 2 fuel filters and the air filter and the injectors are fine so the one thing I hadn't thought of was the cataltic converter
