Hi, I am a 25 year old mother of 1... problem is I have missed 2 periods --- nothing in December or January... I usually start on the 3rd(or close to)... I have taken home tests after home tests, which all come up negative, also went do blood work----negatve also... I had on and off stress (but just the last 2 or 3 weeks or so... I have never missed a period, my cycle runs like a clock, but now this... when I got pregnant with my son, I just knew almost instantly, it just don't seem like that now though... also I have been having this leakage---as if I am urinating almst constantly(I stay in the potty)... I know I have ovarian cysts, I am worried that something is very wrong, any advice and or comments about your ordeals in the same situation would be appreciated!! Thanks

    Hi there

Firstly, let me say that maybe you stressing about whether you are or aren't may be delaying your periods.

The best advice is to go to the doctors where they will take a test for you, they can also take bloods if they aren't convinced by their negative rsults from your urine sample... ask them about this.

Stress certainly is a huge contributing factor, even if before when you've been stressed you've still had a period, as we got older, our bodies cope less with stress and may result in missing periods, but its also worth while for your peace of mind to see you doc.
Don't forget, every pregnancy is different and even if last time you "flet pregnant" it may not always be the case.

    Good luck!

    Hey CutieCakes,
Problem being I did go get blood work---it was negative... and It's now been since Oct3rd or Nov3rd since I seen a period... I don't have a clue what is happening... I have been dealing with stress but that's only been for the past 2 weeks... other than that everything was normal... I just don't understand this...

    Hi!

What did the doctor suggest after your results came back? It is normal sometimes for women to miss their periods due to various contributing factors, and even though you may not have felt stressed back in Nov, you still can do within our bodies... especially with the run up to xmas we all seem to worry and run around a lot more which can put strain on our body - and yes, as we get older our bodies cope less!

My advice would be if you are not happy to go back and see your doctor again to see if there's any further tests to see what else it could be and if you're not happy with his answer to that, then go and get a second opinion from another GP.

If you don't mind me being rude, can I ask how old you are?

    :)

Sorry - just read yiur first post again and your age is on there - which more than likely rules out the menopause!

Go and get yourself an appointment with your GP and take it from there!

My friend had something similar who didn't experience a period ofr over three years and went for various tests which all came out normal. She was obviously concerned as she wanted children and wasn't sure if this would jeopadise that... now out of the blue, she has a very healthy baby girl!

Good luck and let us know how you get on... try not to worry too much

    Hey cuteycakes,
Yeah I have went for bllod work, which was negative, I have to go back to my ob/gyn this week, I'm just scared that something is seriously wrong... I feel like at times I could be pregnant then at times there's like no way... my twin sister has had 3 kids and the last two she had to wait until she did blood work to find out and she was like 2 or 3 months along before she knew... it's just scary because I have ovarian cysts and other than that I have nothing wrong with me... it's weird! I will keep you posted... thanks for your imput!!

Your doctor will be able to take bloods to make certain assessments and there is a possibility it could be something to do with the cysts or may just be nothing at all and is one of those unexplained things, just lik it was with my friend!

Hopefully your appointment isn't too far away so you can gain peace of mind soon
