    Tax returns
I am now having my pay check garnished, for the past 3 months. I wanted to know if I will receive a tax return when I filed, or will they keep my returns.

If the debt for which your paycheck is being garnished isn't satisfied by the time your tax refund is due then there's a chance it will be intercepted.

If the IRS is doing the garnishment, any federal refund will be confiscated to settle that debt.

If the state is doing the garnishment, any state refund will be confiscated to settle that debt.

However. The states and the IRS do not always coordinate, so it is possible that you will receive your state or federal refund if the OTHER agency has not coordinated.

If the debt is more than 3 years old. Though, then coordination WILL be in place and you will get NOTHING.
