    I'm not sure if I understand the question correctly, but here is my try at it...

    If you consider an equation such as X=y times 2, you have infinite solutions.

    An example in real life would be that y costs twice as much as x, so if x cost $1, y would cost $2... but if x cost 4, then y costs 8

    The change in value of one variable changes the value of another variable.
