You should talk to him about how you feel. In a relationship you have to talk about things. Tell him that you are a person who likes to be very attached and close. You don't like to have space and if he doesn't like that then you obviously are not meant to be. However if you love him, then you shouldn't want to just toss him, so obviously you don't love him. In my opinion you just need to talk to him about everything!

Trust me. Don't give him that impression. I have been with the same one for 5 years and I felt the same way at first. I would always tell him to stay with me and not go out with his friends or even make him call out of work somedays. I still love him the same but if not more. I know better now. Let him know how you feel, but if you think it might last a while, be careful of how you word it. You might be looking forward to taking a crap in peace. Some men will never learn so you treat them like kids. Explain things to them. Tell them over and over again what to do and how to do it, but you'll love him anyway

I agree with K_garrett as long as he IS giving you attention count your blessings.
IF he is treating you like he is taking you for granted, putting his buddies wants and feelings above yours or pulling things that make you feel like he is disrespecting you then be concerned. If he always pushes you away when you want a hug ask him why but don't come off like you NEED a lot of attention. Let him know you like a lot of attention but be careful, like K_G said on how you word it and how and when you bring it up. Have conversations about what you each feel important in a relationship. Good communication can make you feel closer than attention sometimes.
Over time you should grow to a happy medium.

Not saying you, because I don't know you, but I have seen girls really literally smoother guys to the point they lost their job.
