Clapping like sound when shower in use
    Hi,
I live in a 3 year old home and recently started hearing a plastic on plastic clapping like sound when the upstairs bathrooms are being used. I looked at the vents outside and they do not appear to have a cover that would slap back against the vent pipes, but I may be wrong. It's only mildly annoying, but I'm fearful of it being an indicator of something more serious being wrong.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Austin

Your complaint points to the drainage system. What material are the pipes made of? Is it worse in cold weather? How loud is the sound? There is no cap to slap against anything on your vents so you can discount that.

Thanks for replying. The pipes are PVC. It does not seem to be worse in cold weather. The sound is about as loud as a normal conversation.
