    Floppy Drive Doesn`t Read or Write
    Please help I`m running win xp pro xp2 and I`ve just put in a floppy drive to make boot discs , the puter recognises the drive but the light is always on when I connect the power lead and it doesn`t read or write I hope someone can help p.s I`ve just put a multi card reader in and that light is always on is that correct?     May your disk is damage try other disk... or may be the rewriter of your drive is damage... you have to change it...

    Thanks but I managed to sort it out but the light is still on on my multi card reader can someone tell me if this correct thanks

    How did you manage to 'sort it out'? It would be nice if you shared it with us. Glad it's fixed now. I was going to suggest you tell your computer that it has a floppy drive now by letting it recognize new hardware in the setup. Is this what you did?

    It was easy when you know of course but I had the lead from the mb to the floppy the wrong way round silly really

    Cool, thanks for your reply - sometimes it's just a little thingy, but can be very irritating, especially when you want to get the PC to work. Again, glad you got it fixed - and you'll not forget that experience again, huh?
