I am trying to recall a children's movie I remember watching when I was little-so probably made before 1994.
I can remember a bit of the plot:
A girl lives with her family and her grandmother, and they are going to send her grandmother away.
She goes through the mirror in her bedroom into another world looking for a way to help her grandmother.
She meets some puppet like characters, and one that looks a bit like an elephant (as I remember it). They travel together to a witches castle. The witch inside stays young by eating apricot-like fruit from a magic tree, that she keeps inside a glass dome.
They defeat the witch(but I can't remember how) and the girl gets some of the fruit and races back home to give to her grandmother. But when she gets back to her side of the mirror, all the fruit disappear.
