Child support-calculation
Hi. I am in New York and my ex husband is making about three times the salary he made when we split up. I want to speak to him about more child support but I want to have a figure for him. When we first went for separation, the lawyer told me to take 10% away from his gross, and the payment for 2 children under 18 is 25% of that. Is this the right equation? I want to do this w/o the laywer until the last second, because I don't have the $ to pay the lawyer just for this! I don't get alimony. It's only the child support I am interested in. If there is anyone out there who can answer me, I'd really appreciate it.
