divide the ten by the amount for the price of each and then subtract two from the $1.60

    example:
    10 apples for $1.00 =10 cents each
    2 apples =20 cents each
8 apples for 10 cents each =80 cents
    or $1.00 -20 cents =80 cents

$1.28 because divide 10 into 1.60 and you get 16 which means that it costs 16 cents per orange so you times 8 times sixteen and that's what you get $1.28!!

Give the number whose hundreds place value is one-third of the greatest one-digit number, the tens place is twice the hundreds place, the ones place is four times the digit in the hundreds place divided by 2, and the three digits in the thousands period is the product of the digits in the units period..

You have to multiply $1.80 by 8 and then you will get $14.40. So, the 8 oranges cost $14.40.

Yeah because we are not suppose to do the homework or give the answer so I explained how to figure it out leaving it up to the OP to simplify it and come up with their own answer.
