Have a 2000 Honda Accord, never had any problem with it. All of the sudden, I am having trouble changing gears. I have to cut the engine off to get it to go in reverse or 1st gear, but after I get going it will let me change gears to 2nd-5th. Although, it is a little harder to change the gears. If you have any answers... PLEASE HELP ME>>>>:(

The longer you monkey around trying to change the gears, the more damage you're going to do to the gearbox. I'd take it pronto to your honest mechanic before it gets more expensive. Something is not right and needs to be fixed now.

I've been taught by master mechanics that the louder the noise your car makes the more expensive the repair is going to be. Truer words were never spoken by those who should know...
