Thank you for your answers to my question.. I guess I should have added that my husband does have a court order saying that it is shared joint legal and physical custody of the children. He and his ex wife have been divorced over three years now , and every year so far she has went to a lawyer and refiled to chance things that the court ordered, but after she finds out that my husband has retained a lawyer as well, she backs off and wants to go back to the original agreement . It is wearing him down and putting a lot of stress on him.. I want to help him but I just don't know how . He has done everything that he can to keep her happy and do things her way but no matter how hard he tries the minute she thinks his life is going better than hers she's back to using the children to hurt him . She filed for bankruptcy and has had her land line and cellphone shut off so we can't even call her to see about the kids. The last time she called she told my husband she was going to do what she wanted to do regarding the children and if he didn't like it " Tuff " . So there goes the agreement and court order again . What are we to do!! All this needs to stop , can anyone please tell us what rights a father has.. My husbands ex wife is from Flordia and that's where her all family lives ( except for the kids ) we're now afraid that she'll run with the kids since she's not going to have a home soon . She's taken them out of state before without my husband knowing it so he will have no problem going with the kids and not telling with... And as far as the court orders go , well that is just a piece of paper to her . Please can someone help us!!
