Most of the times when I try to turn on my computer it says"The device in the system modular bay cannot be identified ". "It may not be completly inserted or may have other problems ". And I follow all the steps given by the computer but it does not work .
I just wanted to know why this happened, what would be its other problems, and what can I do about it.It is a brand new computer .

Try removing the modular bay device (probably a cdrom). Boot the system and see if the message appears (it shouldn't). Then replace the device and boot again to see if the message re-appears. If it does, and if your system is still under warranty, contact Dell to have the device replaced. If the message doesn't appear, the device may have just needed a reseat.

It seems that it is probable the battery or the cd drive
