    Browser opens automatically
My Firefox browser opens automatically to a blogspot site with different advertisements each time for other sites

    How can I stop this

    It only started recently

It was never like this before

    Thanks

If this is a regular site you visit all the time the site has different advertisers that are triggered to come up a different advertiser each time you access the site. I don't think it is a virus if this is the site you normally go to.

Yeah it would definitely be a good idea to clear the temporary internet files and then run a virus scanner that does spy ware /ad ware

No, these are not sites I go to
It says blogspot on the site

It also opens the browser automatically when I am not browsing

It is not a pop up ad. I believe that a subprogram has been deviously written into my system OR my registry has been tampered with by some site / malicious program

Isn't that the definition of a virus lol. Just run anti virus, anti spyware, and anti adware software. Like I said before I recommend Antivirus software - BitDefender - The future of security now!. It is free

Clear your browser cache as well, delete temporary internet files, and run the scans
