    HI Martin;
    I have extensive real life knowledge of this awful disease. My story started
    in 2004 after getting flu shot Sept 28 2004.It took 8 weeks -on Nov 17,04 -I woke up at 1am with horrible pain in both triceps. It spread over a matter of weeks . I did not sleep through the night for a month. It turned me into raving zombie.. Painkiller prescribed by Dr -for his guess of pinched nerve in neck did not touch it... Then followed severe weakness that was so bad I was unable to turn the key to start our mini-van. Couple this with poor diagnosis by several neuro "specialists" . I had MRI,chest X ray.Mylogram ,throat cancer test and chest x ray too.. FINALLY 2nd week in Jan 05 I had EMG that confirmed the brachail thing... the Dr admitted it was reaction to flu shot happens to one in every 100,000. He suggested I look it up on internet.
    WHAT? What a joke! This is info they are scared to get involved with...
    this flu shot reaction -in my opinion-is MUCH nastier than the flu... I was treated like an idiot .they insisted it was all in my head and I was making too much out of the pinched nerve in neck deal. They were wrong.. Finally I found a specialist with 1/2 a brain...

    I battled back by lifting weights and playing drums in my band,, AND then it hit again Jan 28 of this year-not as bad but still a setback. I did not get shot this past year. Dr this time could not give reason for relapse. I'm willing to discuss this.. jhc
