    Auto run time out
    Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone knows much about "autorun" I know how to get it to work. But what I am after is

I create a CD for work which needs updating once every 10 weeks people loan it out but don't bring it back so info is out of date,
What I am trying to achieve is that after the 10 weeks the auto run stops working.

If it helps all the stuff on the CD is in HTML!

Anyone got any ideas / scripts / etc any help will be most appriciated.

    Cheers

    Frien_DD,

This question needs to be moved to our programming board, not here with the "Beginners".

The only quick method I can think of would be to run a "Date Test".

Please note that the suggestions below are not CONTEXUALY CORRECT.

    For example, IF <disc date + 70> = <PC Date>
    Then erase (current CD drive)\*.exe

Erasing the AUTO.inf file is useless. All anyone would have to do is simply open the drive and do a "Run=*.exe.

Autorun calls a calls a starting executable file on the disc. That's the file you need to get rid of.

ADMIN: Please move this posting to the "Programming Board", thanks.
