    Change?? Change from what??
    Hello:

I'll tell you what - the Bush FAILED PRESIDENCY - that's what!

When we were attacked, we ALL lined up behind the Bush Doctrine. Everybody, including me, wanted him to go after the bad guys.

Frankly, I saw bad guys all over the Middle East. Certainly, I noticed Afghanistan and the Taliban followed closely by the Saudi's, the Iranians, Hammas, Fattah, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, the Syrians, the Pakistanis, and lastly Saddam Hussein. Yes, I'm sure I've forgotten a few.

Bush however (who compares himself to Truman), thought some of those people were his friends – not his enemies - and proceeded accordingly. I don't know where he got that from.

In his last year in office, Bush's central challenge is to clarify what he himself has allowed to become muddled about the nature of the current “War on Terror”.

Unfortunately, his refusal/inability to assert his own foreign policy against the wishes of a hostile bureaucracy, calls to mind not Truman, but another president who led his country at the cusp of another crisis. Like Bush, James Buchanan - the last president to serve before the Civil War - understood the nature of the gathering storm; yet rather than confront the dangers, he was overwhelmed by them.

The Bush Presidency is an absolute failure, and we are in MORE danger because of it - not less. No?

At this point the only change I really want are four quarters for a dollar.

I believe Hillary would just dig us into a deeper hole and/or a whole 'nother one.

Anything will be a change now with N0 Bush's but good or bad we will see...
H0ld your breath and hang 0N!

I don't think that comparison applies at all. Buchanan did nothing to prevent the Civil War .Quite the opposite Buchanan supported the attempt to establish Kansas as a slave state. He also failed to take decisive action when South Carolina left the Union. Buchanan argued wrongly that the Constitution granted the federal government no power to "coerce a State into submission." What rubbish ! Even Washington himself led an Army against rebellion in Western Pennsylvania . He also recommended that the Constitution should be amended to guarantee slavery where it already existed. He was part of the problem .

Right or wrong Bush has clearly set a policy to combat jihad well past his administration. He has established new institutions to address the new security challenges and to hopefully counteract the obvious wishes of a hostile bureaucracy(glad you finally admitted that ) .

Along with that ;despite the claims to the contrary he has generally received and gave a high degree of cooperation with allied nations who also are in this with us together . We have not done it unilaterally .

You've been drinking that koolaid again, and shilling for Hillary and other statists. Concerning the war on terror, check this: To what extent did Iraq under Saddam Hussein's regime support terrorism?

    The failed Bush Presidency?

You mean the economic gowth that has taken place over the past 7 years?

The 8.4 million jobs created since Bush became President?

The fact that there hasn't been a single terrorist attack on US soil in 2,310 days?

The fact that 50,000,000 Muslims are now free of tyrannical governments?

The thousands of dead or captured terrorist?

The fact that North Korea, Libya, Iraq and, if reports are to be believed, Iran have all given up their nuclear programs?

    You mean THAT failed presidency?

    Ooohhhkay, then.

So what is it you want to change TO?

A question. If Bush is so successful, then why is his approval rating so low?

Part of Bush's low approval is the 100% critical press that shills for the statist/fascist/Democrat Party. Another large aspect is that Americans just are not in love with goverment; last figure I heard placed Congress below that of the President. That isn't a criticism of the Democrats. If you like freedom, you dislike the costs and taxes against freedom made by government(s).

Speaking of low approval ratings . Another comparison to Harry Truman is that he also left office with even lower ratings than President Bush will. Of course history over time has correctly judged his actions as President as the correct course to take. I expect the same will be said about President Bush when historians not inflicted with BDS evaluate his time.
