The only thing that works for me is a cup of tea, Excedrin and a heating blanket on the tummy

Deprived, if your menstrual cramps are painful, you may think about taking some type of the over-the-counter medication for one to two days. Pain killers like Advil and Motrin will help ease the pain. Be sure you read the label as to how much and how often you should take the medication. However, you should not take these medications if you are allergic to aspirin-like medications. You could also try a heating pad or a warm bath to help soothe the pain.
