    Vent pipe tie in
    Hello,

Probably is a simple question to answer but I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly.
I have two 1 1/2 vent stacks, one for the laundry, one for the kitchen sink. They exit into the attic about two feet away from each other. Can a vent 't' be used and the two be popped out the roof using one 2" vent pipe? In that application is a vent 't' and a 90 the correct thing to use in the attic to tie them together? If this is the correct way to do it, in case of problems how would you get a snake down the vent stack that is 90'd. They all do have cleanouts under the house and should never be a problem, just curious.

    I would appreciate any info

This is called "reventing " and is acceptable. I would use a inverted sanitary tee and a vent ell to tie the two together.

If you wish to snake from that attic vent you'llhave to cut it loose, snake the vent and glue a coupling back on to reconnect. Good luck, Tom
